Von der Natur inspiriert
Nach meiner Ausbildung als Porzellanmalerin habe ich angefangen auch andere Materialien zu bemalen. Meine Leidenschaft gehört der Natur. In meiner Freizeit halte ich mich meistens draussen auf und versuche dann später in meinem Atelier meine Eindrücke auf der Leinwand umzusetzen. Meine Motive spiegeln Bewunderung und Respekt fuer die Umwelt wider. Natur und Malerei – nicht nur ein Hobby – beides gehoert einfach zu mir.
In der Schweiz und in meiner zweiten Heimat Kanada nehme ich an Ausstellungen und Märkten teil und stelle meine Arbeiten in Galerien aus. Gerne lade ich sie ein fuer einen Besuch in meinem Atelier im Schloss Sumiswald.

A native of Switzerland, Nicole moved to Canada in 2000. The passion and inspiration for her creations lies in nature – the landscape and wildlife of the mountain environment. Originally trained as a porcelain painter, Nicole is a graduate of Kunst Gewerbe Schule, Bern. She now explores the freedom of expression, that a larger format affords an artist. In each hand-painted original work, Nicole seeks to capture the beauty of this land.
Nicole travels across Canada and Europe to attend Art Fairs and Exhibitions.
Biografie
Schon als Kind interessierte sich Nicole für Kunst und Natur. Inspiriert hatte sie dabei vor allem ihr Grossvater, selbst ein Künstler und Naturliebhaber. Oft unternahmen sie gemeinsame Spaziergänge durch den Wald und brachten danach in seinem Atelier ihre Eindrücke und Erinnerungen auf Papier.
Nach ihrer Ausbildung zur Porzellanmalerin in der Porzellanfabrik Langenthal und ihrem Abschluss an der Kunstgewerbeschule Bern übte Nicole ihren Beruf lange mit viel Freude aus. Später machte sie sich mit weiteren Techniken vertraut: Malen auf Seide, Stein, Holz, Papier und hauptsächlich auf Leinwand.
Nicoles Leidenschaft ist die Natur. Sie versucht, deren Schönheit in all ihren Bildern festzuhalten und wertzuschätzen. Ihre Motive spiegeln ihre Bewunderung und ihren Respekt für die Umwelt wider. Für Nicole ist das Malen mehr als nur ein Hobby, es gehört zu ihr.
Nachdem Nicole im Jahr 2000 in die Rocky Mountains gezogen war, erhielt sie 2015 die kanadische Staatsbürgerschaft. Seither reist sie durch Kanada und die Schweiz und nimmt an Kunstmärkten und Ausstellungen teil. Ihre Arbeiten entstehen in ihrem Atelier im Schloss Sumiswald.

Nicole has always been fascinated by art and nature. Her grandfather, an artist and nature lover himself, was a big inspiration to her. They spent a lot of time walking together through the woods and painting their experiences and impressions in his studio.
After her training at the porcelain factory in Langenthal and her graduation from the Art School in Bern, Nicole enjoyed working as a porcelain painter for many years. Later, she became interested in other techniques such as painting on silk, rock, wood, paper and canvas.
Nicole now explores the freedom of expression that a larger format affords her as an artist. Her passion and inspiration for her creations lie in nature – the landscapes and wildlife of the mountain environment. In each hand-painted original work she seeks to capture her appreciation for the beauty of this land.
Nicole was originally born in Switzerland, but moved to Canada in 2000, where she became a citizen in 2015. She now travels across both countries, attending art fairs and exhibitions. Her studio is situated in the castle of Sumiswald.
